Info: The ROYAL / IMPERIUM / LITTON calculators from the 1970s represent a fascinating era of corporate mergers and rapid technological evolution under the umbrella of the American conglomerate LITTON Industries.

During the 1960s and 70s, LITTON Industries acquired several major office equipment brands, including ROYAL McBee (USA), IMPERIAL (UK), and TRIUMPH-ADLER (Germany).
While the brands were Western, the ‘guts’ of the machines were often Japanese,
manufactured by companies like TEAL or using chips from GENERAL INSTRUMENT.
